I fear the kitchen table would just get me a swift trip outside. And it’s way too cold out for that right now.

Well, to satisfy your need to dig and cover up, the potted plant would do best. But we think the table would get your message across the loudest, seconded by the dog’s dish. They’ll never forget again!
